The complete game overview

VEILBREAKDead Signal

A standalone round-based Zombies game where every system exists to strengthen survival, discovery, buildcraft, and replayability.

Designed without distraction

A Zombies game with nothing diluted.

VEILBREAK is not a side mode attached to a different game. The entire product is built around entering a hostile map, establishing a route, growing stronger, solving its secrets, and surviving a threat that becomes more dangerous every round.

That singular focus gives every feature a clear job. Oaths define your build. Weapons and the Forge define your damage path. Main Quests drive the story. Modes change how the pressure reaches you. Prestige and mastery make each deployment matter beyond the match.

The match begins simple

Survive first. Understand later.

Start with limited resources. Earn Essence. Open the location. Find dependable weapons. Activate its central systems. Decide whether the run is about survival, progression, experimentation, or uncovering the truth behind the outbreak.

Launch maps

Handcrafted locations. Complete identities.

The maps do not share a generic template. Their routes, threats, power systems, Wonder Weapons, crews, and quests are built around the location itself.

Veil Story // Launch map 01

Crownfall

A ruined kingdom has become an engine of undeath. Fight from the shattered approaches into royal halls and buried machinery while uncovering what caused the crown, the city, and its defenders to collapse together.

Launch threat index

Every enemy changes the route.

Special enemies exist to alter target priority, movement, and positioning—not simply to add more health. Crownfall applies direct battlefield pressure; the Voss Estate adds deception and Veil corruption.

Common outbreak

Zombies

The core undead threat. Density, obstruction, and escalating pressure make ordinary Zombies dangerous long after their behaviour is understood.

Common outbreak

Sprinters

Fast undead that collapse distance and punish stalled routes.

Crownfall

Manglers

Armoured heavies that add ranged disruption and force repositioning.

Crownfall

Hounds

Low-profile flankers that exploit gaps while larger threats hold attention.

Elite threat

Abomination

A route-breaking elite found across both launch maps.

Voss Estate

Veil Runners

Unpredictable high-speed flankers distorted by the Veil.

Voss Estate

Hushlings

Ambush enemies built for low visibility and interior spaces.

Voss Estate

Runebearers

Unstable rune carriers tied to defenses and quest objectives.

Voss Estate

Shadowbound

Darkness-anchored enemies that punish unsafe objective positioning.

Voss Estate

Doppelghasts

Deceptive forms that obscure the true target and invade the Echo Trials.

Deployment modes

The same outbreak. Different pressure.

Each mode has a defined purpose rather than existing as a minor rule preset.

Standard

The full map with no guided route and no removed systems. Learn through play, search for the quest, build freely, and survive for as long as the run allows.

Oaths and Oath Paths

Power with an identity.

Oaths are VEILBREAK’s survival upgrades. Each one has a clear role, a recognizable arcade identity, and a dedicated mastery tree with paths, tiers, and long-term unlocks.

Survival Oath

Ironblood

Increases the margin for survival and anchors defensive builds.

Handling Oath

Quickhand

Improves reload and weapon-handling speed under pressure.

Movement Oath

Fleetstep

Expands movement freedom and sustained traversal.

Precision Oath

Deadeye

Strengthens precision damage and target acquisition.

Recovery Oath

Second Breath

Supports revival, recovery, and survival after failure.

Control Oath

Webweaver

Creates space through slowing, trapping, and crowd control.

Elemental Oath

Undertow Tonic

Turns pressure into area control through undertow effects.

Elemental Oath

Voltaic Vigor

Channels volatile energy into aggressive combat effects.

Weapons and utilities

Build an arsenal. Then transform it.

Reliable Wall Buys, randomized acquisition, the Forge, unique weapon roles, and map-exclusive Wonder Weapons support different routes without flattening every gun into the same answer.

The mystical Staff of Wonder weapon concept

Mystical weapon class

Wonder Weapons

Rare, map-defining tools built around mechanics rather than raw damage alone. They can shape the quest, crowd control, and the entire rhythm of a run.

VEILBREAK combat against undead

Weapon roles

Clear handling, damage, range, and crowd-control identities.

Crownfall environment

The Forge

Map-specific access opens three transformation tiers for the arsenal.

Persistent progression

The match ends. Mastery does not.

Progress remains readable and purposeful: play, master individual systems, reach Prestige milestones, and carry your identity into the next deployment.

Account Levels

Earn XP through matches, challenges, quests, and increasingly difficult play.

Weapon Mastery

Advance the weapons you actually use and pursue dedicated mastery goals.

Oath Trees

Develop every Oath separately through its paths, tiers, and specialized unlocks.

Prestige

Reset the level climb, retain earned identity, and unlock milestone HUD Themes.

Menus built for the game

Readable under pressure.

The interface uses a consistent VEILBREAK language across loadouts, progression, Oaths, modes, and in-match HUD information. Development notes and filler text stay out of the player-facing experience.
